Minto, Podium are among DRHBA winners

Minto Communities was recognized with a series of wins at the Durham Region Homebuilders’ Association Awards (DRHBA) hosted remotely via YouTube last month.

Not only was their Ivy Ridge development crowned with three awards in New Home Design Production, Minto Communities also received an Outstanding Achievement Award in Corporate Citizenship, and was named “Green Builder of the Year.”

Located in Whitby, Minto Communities’ Ivy Ridge development backs onto the beautiful Pringle Creek. The DRHBA awards recognized the development for its excellence in New Home Design, with honours in the following categories: Excellence in Back-to-back Townhomes: Excellence in Single Homes from 2001 – 3000 sq. ft. for its Winchester model and Excellence in Single Homes 3001 – 4000 sq. ft. for its Wentworth model.

Alongside Minto Communities’ wins at the DRHBA Association Awards, the  developer has also been tapped for eight BILD award nominations, including Best Customer Care and Green Builder of the Year, as well as several nods for two downtown projects, 123 Portland and The Saint.

Other award winners at DRHBA Awards of Excellence gala include Ironwood in North Oshawa which was named ‘Community of the Year.’ Podium Developments and Building Capital offer this community of three- and four-bedroom townhomes on a private street on an 11-acre property between Camp Samac and Oshawa Creek in Cedar Valley.

The ‘Community of the Year ‘category criteria included product and architectural design and appeal, on-site presentation, advertising and marketing, site plan and sales success.
