Toronto, ON – September 25, 2012 – The Minto Group was awarded the Ontario Home Builder of the Year Award at the Ontario Home Builders’ Association Annual Awards of Distinction dinner. Minto was also awarded Most Outstanding High or Mid Rise Condo Suite for 88 Sheppard’s “Bamboo Suite.” The Home Builder of the Year Award is presented to the home builder who best demonstrates outstanding professionalism and integrity within their business, industry and community.
Calgary, AB – September 19, 2012 – Minto Properties Inc. has acquired its first residential rental property outside of Ontario, adding three Calgary rental communities to its portfolio. Totaling 752 units, the acquisition includes: Applewood Village, consisting of 378 suites; Glenmore Estates, with 193 suites; and Woodlands Manor, comprised of four low-rise buildings with 181 units and 17 town homes in two blocks.

Minto Communities Inc. was awarded the two highest honours at last week’s EnerQuality Awards of Excellence, 2011 Green Builder of the Year and 2011 Leader of the Year. Part of this gift included facilitating the acquisition of the land where the Desmarais Building now stands.
