Family-friendly Killarney

Right next to Parkline, the treasured Killarney-Glengarry neighbourhood invites you to walk or bicycle along its leafy streets. Killarney has long been home to families, and is well set up with schools and recreational facilities. The Killarney Glengarry Community Centre has an event space and an expansive playground. The Killarney Aquatic & Recreation Centre is just a bit farther north, offering a heated pool, gym, and fitness centre, as well as a large grassy field. Richmond Green Park

Within walking distance of Parkline, Richmond Green offers 4.5 acres of park space with playgrounds, tennis courts, baseball diamonds, and a toboggan hill. Plans are in the works to refresh and enhance the park, with more amenities including disc golf, pump track, picnic areas, pickleball courts, cricket batting cages, and much more. The intention is to make this green space appealing to a broad range of age groups, with something for everyone.

Great getaways

Situated beside Crowchild Trail, Parkline gives you premier access to easy getaways. If you play golf, you’re in luck. The 18-hold Shaganappi Point Golf Course is just north of home. Nature lovers can hike along the Bow River on the stunning Douglas Fir Hiking Trail. Follow Crowchild Trail south to Glenmore Reservoir for sailing and boating fun. For a wonderful day trip, take the Trans-Canada highway west to Canmore, just an hour away. This congenial city is the gateway to the Rocky Mountains, and only 20 minutes farther west, you’ll arrive in Banff, renowned for its spectacular scenery and high-quality restaurants.
