Our homes are designed to maximize exposure to natural light and fresh air with: balconies, thoughtful window placement, and optimal venting. Efficient fixtures help reduce water consumption by up to 30%, and the use of healthier materials and finishes, such as low VOC paint, improve indoor air quality. Modern HVAC/mechanical systems, including a Heat Recovery Ventilation (HRV) system, deliver fresh, filtered air throughout the home.

Healthier Materials

Healthier use of materials and finishes such as low VOC paint will improve indoor air quality.

Heat Recovery Ventilation System

ENERGY STAR^® for New Homes Certification

Wildflower single-family homes have the option to be ENERGY STAR® certified New Homes, ensuring a highly efficient home that offers increased comfort and quality. Some of the features in Wildflower single-family homes upgraded to ENERGY STAR® certified include, but are not limited to:

Blower door envelope test to ensure air tightness
ENERGY STAR® rated double glazed casement windows, where applicable
96% efficient natural gas furnace
LED lighting throughout
Condensing hot water tank
2” x 6” exterior walls featuring a min. of R20 insulation on the exterior to increase thermal comfort
Full height 2” x 6” frost wall with a min. of R20 insulation ion around the exterior perimeter of the basement concrete walls, in unfinished basements
R30 spray foam insulation to exterior exposed ceilings with livable floor areas above. Spray foam insulation provides a superior air seal and greater comfort compared to traditional batt insulation.
