Minto Communities GTA breaks ground on the award-winning “The Heights of Harmony” master-planned community in Oshawa
June 22, 2023 (TORONTO, ON) – Minto Communities GTA celebrated the groundbreaking on the first phase of The Heights of Harmony, the highly anticipated, master-planned community in North Oshawa’s Kedron neighbourhood. Spanning 97.5 acres, The Heights of Harmony is the developer’s second project in Oshawa, increasing much-needed family housing in one of Canada’s fastest growing communities and supporting multi-generational housing options. Building off the success in Markham’s Union Village, The Heights of Harmony also sets a precedent on how developers can successfully integrate Net Zero features and keep sustainability as a core value when building homes.

The Modern Farmhouse style is designed to feature a contemporary aesthetic, with large picture windows and contrasting architectural features. Located in North Oshawa at Harmony Road N. and Winchester Road E., The Heights of Harmony is nestled in the peaceful and quiet Kedron neighbourhood, while still offering the convenience of city-living through retail, commercial, educational amenities and crucial transit connections to the 400-series highway, the Oshawa GO Station and Oshawa city centre. The Heights of Harmony is a stone’s throw from a handful of golf courses and the tranquil waterfront along Lake Ontario and is connected to Toronto’s downtown core by GO transit in 30 minutes.
Once complete, The Heights of Harmony community will encompass approximately 800 homes. Phase two is expected to launch in the near future, bringing to market back-to-back townhomes, great for first-time home buyers, and rear lane homes for growing families.
