Hurrah to the home builders who put energy efficiency into their new homes
EnerQuality says energy-efficient adoption has reached 32% of Ontario homes, thanks to builders who believe in it and to buyers who ask for it in their new home. EQ Awards honoured Minto Communities Canada in two categories: Ontario Green Builder of the Year, and the Energy Star for New Homes Builder of the Year in the large volume category.
Homebuyers camp out for chance to live in Queensville
Two men camped out by the sales office of Minto’s Queen’s Landing Development in Queensville to earn spots in line to buy a yet-to-be-constructed house. Luckily a representative from Minto Communities Canada told them they didn’t have to stay overnight and that as long as they returned by 7 am the next day, they would be first in line.

An industry leader in standardizing criteria for performance efficiency, EnerQuality launched in 2005 and has been on a firm growth trajectory ever since. Minto Communities Canada was recognized with three awards including Ontario Green Builder of the Year for its Longbranch master-planned community in Etobicoke.

At Minto Communities Canada's latest mixed-use, high-rise development, condo dwellers who want more space to play or impress their guests won't have to choose between staying in their suite or paying for the many costs of a night out. By pushing an elevator button, residents can access indoor and outdoor attractions and activities.
Making room for millennials to play
Now in the pre-construction phase, Minto Communities Canada's condominium project, Minto Westside, at the northeast corner of Bathurst and Front Sts. is scheduled for occupancy in 2018. It will have amenities designed to appeal to millennials, including two floors worth of large, interactive spaces described as an “adult playground”.
